Autumn musings – Day 10

One thing I love about autumn is…

Long lazy walks through beautifully adorned trees. Early morning commutes where mist swirls along the path as my feet crunch satisfyingly through the crisp leaves.

Every October I go up in the mountains and gather two bags of leaves and then on Halloween I scatter them on the path to my front door. (I live in the desert southwest so no leaves “au natural”). I don’t know if the kids notice but I always get a few bewildered parents, “Where did these leaves come from (looking around our treeless yard) and they can’t possibly be real!” Transplants from out of state love it though and happily kick through the leaves!
