Ooh I love this quote! I am reminded of an incident where I simply could not face going to a work christmas lunch. I was told that my boss set off upstairs to drag me out of my office but my friend Hayley physically stood in her way and told her to leave me alone. She was my hero that day.
She is. I am very fond of her, and very loyal to her in return. We encourage a supportive atmosphere in my lab and we all look after each other and support each other. I stayed late tonight so that another of the girls could go and get her poorly baby from nursery and I finished her work for her. She would do the same for me. I wish all workplaces could be like mine, I am very lucky.
