Quote of the day

I also believe that introversion is my greatest strength. I have such a strong inner life that I’m never bored and only occasionally lonely. No matter what mayhem is happening around me, I know I can always turn inward.

I wish I had known about introversion 30 years ago. I would have went down a different path then. The whole world of introverts escaped me for some reason. A close friend told me. She thought I was an introvert. I consider myself an information junkie, but i never put 2 and 2 together with my symptoms and way of life. Now I know and I am acting on it. I can look back and clearly see my introverted ways and my thousands of attempts to “extroverted”. It resembled being born again. Its never too late. Back in the 70’s and 80’s without the internet and living in a small town you could easily fall through the cracks

I also wish I had known about my introversion sooner. I was always labelled as quiet, shy, and introverted (always in a negative context). Having the knowledge that what I was experiencing was normal would have helped immensely with my self worth and confidence. But as you mentioned, it’s never too late, and I’m grateful I didn’t live my whole life without this understanding.
