I love staying inside on a cool autumn day, making a cup of tea, and just sitting there in silence and contemplation. There’s something so relaxing about a hot drink.
Making tea is such a calming ritual. I love putting on the kettle and hearing it whistle when the water is ready. Measuring out the loose tea and putting it in the infuser. Pouring the steaming water into my mug and watching as the colours seep into the water. Then once its steeped, adding a splash of milk and some honey. Its one of those small moments that makes the day a little brighter.
What’s your favourite hot drink?
Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.

Beautifully written!! My favourite hot drink is hot chocolate of course, and I believe nothing else comes close! haha! 🙂 No offence to coffee lovers. 🙂

The weather often determines my favorite drink. If I’ve been out playing in the snow with my son, hot chocolate, while rainy days demand hot tea.

That’s awesome. My mom would always make us hot chocolate when we came in from playing in the snow. Thanks for reminding me of that memory 🙂

Café pour moi! When it gets chilly or rainy I like to put a pot of soup on the stove and drag out a fresh canvas to the easel. My oils are armed and ready! 😉

There’s nothing like hot soup on a cold day! What do you like to paint?

A bit of this… people are my favourite, I’ve never taken art classes so it is very amateur and just for myself. It is mostly for catharsis. 😉

That’s awesome, I always loved painting still life with all the light and shadow 🙂

Watercolour? Oils? Acrylics? Still life is lovely but I love trying to capture people. I’ve never had any lessons so I just play around… 😉
If you love still life, you should really visit Giverny (Monet’s Gardens) and Aix-en-Provence for the Atelier Cézanne (which happens to be my personal favourite. 🙂

I love acrylics the most, I’ve only dabbled a little bit in watercolour and oils. I’ll have to check those out if I’m ever in the area 🙂

The texture of oils cannot be matched and I find them irresistible! 🙂 Thanks for commenting.
