My favourite thing about autumn is the explosion of colour in the trees. Seeing the bright and cheery yellows, reds, oranges, and sometimes purples that adorn the foliage is such a treat. Every tree is ablaze with colour. Their leaves creating a beautiful mosaic. To me, its the best part of the season. And once the leaves fall to the ground, they swirl and dance around your ankles. It makes me smile.
In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil. And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November.
