Quote of the day

Introvert conversations are like jazz, where each player gets to solo for a nice stretch before the other player comes in and does his solo. And like jazz, once we get going, we can play all night. Extrovert conversations are more like tennis matches, where thoughts are batted back and forth, and players need to be ready to respond. Introverts get winded pretty quickly.

…We get winded pretty easily IF we find room to speak. My problem with conversing in a group of extroverts is that I can never find room to to talk. I don’t know if it’s because they don’t expect me to talk because I can be so quiet or if I’m just not aggressive enough, but around certain people, I can never get a word in!

So true! I usually don’t want to be rude and interrupt, so I’ll try to wait for an opening. But someone else usually gets there before me, or interrupts. After a while, I usually give up and go back to listening. And people wonder why I don’t contribute haha.
